Music has always been a huge connector for me. By studying, writing, teaching, recording and performing different styles of music, I somehow found that my personal world expanded as well. The wonderful thing about music and the arts is that they not only play a role in expressing personal thoughts and feelings, comment on current events; music and the arts can also play a very heavy role in being life affirming and life-saving. Music and the arts are not one color, one gender, one socioeconomic background. Music begins as inspiration and despite the technology available, carried out by human action. Humans are not one color, one gender, one socioeconomic background. Humans are not born republican, democrat.

Unfortunately, as humans we tend to lose sight of the latter facts. In a society propelled by self-interest, it is hard to realize that each and every one of us has hopes, fears, wishes, and many questions which there are no easy answers to.

I sincerely believe for a society to thrive its citizens need to work together. In typical cases this can be easier said than done. With the internet, we have graduated to becoming something of a global society, in which positive ideas can be exchanged. However, I am of the opinion that this amazing tool is not being used to its fullest potential.

That being said, I have a proposal. I would like to create a worldwide musical collaboration which involves all countries in the world. It is my hope that this collaboration with help to inspire a sense of global unity. Hopefully, this will also inspire others to go on to use their talents in a positive manner.

I sincerely believe everyone is a musician at heart and it is my hope that those with even a small amount of musical facility will take part in this project. If you play no instrument but have access to a microphone simply say your name, the name of the country you represent, and a positive message you would want to share with your fellow humans. This would take no more than 5-10 seconds to create.

For musicians who have a bit more training, please record your instrument in the key of concert C Major at 120 BPM’s. If you sing or freestyle, make beats, dj please submit as well. Please keep in mind that this work is to have content that is positive.
